Welcome on arrival at the Colombo International Airport. Transfer to Hotel. After Check-in, spend the day at leisure at Negombo.
Overnight stay at NegomboAfter Breakfast proceed to Kandy via Pinnawela & Peradeniya. In Pinnawala you can see the bottle
feeding of baby Elephants, see them at play & accompany them to a river close by to see them having
their daily bath (Optional).
The Century old Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya, with its amazing verities of trees, plants and flowers.
Reputed to be one of the best in the world with its hundreds of verities of Roses and Orchids.
After breakfast, visit a tour the City of Kandy including visits to the Art and Crafts Centre, Gem Museum and Lapidary, and the world famous “Temple Of The Tooth Relic Of Lord Buddha” Evening view a “ Kandyan Folkloric Dance” performance.
Overnight stay at KandyAfter breakfast proceed to Nuwara-Eliya. Nuwara-Eliya – The “Little England” of Sri Lanka. The journey
will take you through some of Sri Lanka’s beautiful scenic locations. Enjoy the drive through green
carpeted areas of tea plantations. Nuwara-Eliya nesting below Pidurutalagala, Sri Lanka’s highest
mountain is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Water falls & Tea Plantations – offers
beauty unlimited.
Visit a Tea Plantatio n and Factory & taste a fresh Cup of Ceylon Tea.
Arrive in Nuwara-Eliya. Check – in at Hotel.
After breakfast proceed to Horton Plains National Park, which is the only National Park situated in the Hill
Country.
Sri Lanka’s highest and most isolated plateau, where nature lovers will revel in the wide, Patna – grass
covered plain, the haunt of many wild, yet harmless animals and home of many species of birds. Bridle
path will take you to the precipice known as World’s End. A sheer drop of 1050 meters. Lie on your
stomach & peep over the ridge, the view when it is clear of mist, is magnificent.
Drive back to hotel by evening.
After breakfast proceed to Kitulgala. Kitulgala is a small town in the west ofSri Lanka. It is in the wet
zone rain forest, which gets two monsoons each year, and is one of the wettest places in the country.
Nevertheless, it comes alive in the first three months of the year, especially in February, the driest month.
TheAcademy Award-winning "The Bridge on the River Kwai" was filmed on the Kelani River near
Kitulgala, although nothing remains now except the concrete foundations for the bridge (and, supposedly,
the submerged train cars that plunged into the river in the climactic scene). Kitulgala is also a base for
white-water rafting, which starts a few kilometers upstream.
