• Day : 1 Airport / Negombo

  Welcome and assistance at the Airport on arrival and proceed to Negombo.

• Day : 2 Negombo / Sigiriya

  

  Welcome and assistance at the Airport on arrival and proceed to Sigiriya via Pinnawala.
  Depending on flight time, visit the Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawela. There you can see the bottle feeding of baby Elephants, see them at play & accompany them to a river close by to see them having their daily bath.

• Day : 3 Sigiriya Rock / Village Tour / Minneriya / Sigiriya

  

  After Early breakfast climb the 5 th century A.D Rock Fortress. See the mural paintings of “Heavenly Maidens” over 1500 years old, which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock. Historians say originally there were close to 500 paintings but today only 19 exist. Also visit the water and rock gardens and the King’s bath on the 600 feet palace fortress.
  After descending from the rock fortress in Sigiriya, proceed for a Village tour.
  Late Afternoon visit the Minneriya National Park.
  Minneriya National Parkis anational parkinNorth Central ProvinceofSri Lanka. The area was designated as a national park on 12 August 1997, having been originally declared as awildlife sanctuaryin 1938.The reason for declaring the area as protected is to protect thecatchmentof Minneriya tank and the wildlife of the surrounding area. The tank is of historical importance, having been built by King Mahasen in third century AD. The park is a dry season feeding ground for theelephantpopulation dwelling in forests of Matale , Polonnaruwa , and Trincomalee districts.

• Day : 4 Sigiriya / Dambulla Rock Fortress / Matale / Kandy

  

  After breakfast proceed to Kandy via Dambulla & Matale.
  En route visit the famous Rock Cave Temples at Dambulla, the most visited monastery. It is the most impressive cave temple in Sri Lanka, with five caves under a vast overhanging rock, carved with a drip line to keep the interiors dry. There are images of the Buddha, and Gods and Goddesses. There are innumerable painted sculptures, including a life size effigy of the last Kandyan king and much older statues of Hindu gods.
  In Matale visit a Batik Factory and a Spice Garden. Here you would be shown the different varieties of spices grown and demonstration of their use.

• Day : 5 Kandy / Royal Botanical Garden / Kandy

  

  After breakfast visit the Century old Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya, with its amazing verities of trees, plants and flowers. Reputed to be one of the best in the world with its hundreds of verities of Roses and Orchids.
  By afternoon visit the “Temple of the Tooth Relic”
  Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site mainly due to the temple.
  In the late Evening view a “Kandyan Folkloric Dance” performance.

• Day : 6Kandy / Ramboda falls / Nuwara-eliya

  

  After breakfast proceed to Nuwara-eliya via Ramboda falls. The Hill Country is exceptionally beautiful, with crystal clear waterfalls and tea plantations dotted throughout.
  Nuwara-Eliya – The “Little England” of Sri Lanka. The journey will take you through some of Sri Lanka’s beautiful scenic locations. Enjoy the drive through green carpeted areas of tea plantations. Nuwara- Eliya nesting below Pidurutalagala, Sri Lanka’s highest mountain is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls & Tea Plantations – offers beauty unlimited.

• Day : 7Nuwara-eliya / Unawatuna

  

  After breakfast proceed to Unawatuna.
  Unawatunais a coastal town inGalle districtofSri Lanka. Unawatuna is a major tourist attraction in Sri Lanka and famous for its beautiful beach and corals. It is a suburb ofGalle, about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) southeast to the city center and approximately 108 kilometres (67 mi) south ofColombo. Unawatuna is situated at an elevation of 5 metres (16ft) above the sea level.

• Day : 8 Unawatuna / Galle / Bentota

  

  After breakfast check-out from Hotel & proceed to Beruwala via Galle.
  In Galle visit the famous Galle Fort. Galle Fort, in the Bay of Galle on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, was built first in 1588 by the Portuguese, then extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century from 1649 onwards. It is a historical, archaeological and architectural heritage monument, which even after more than 423 years maintains a polished appearance, due to extensive reconstruction work done by Archaeological Department of Sri Lanka.The fort has a colourful history, and today has a multi-ethnic and multi-religious population. The Sri Lankan government and many Dutch people who still own some of the properties inside the fort are looking at making this one of the modern wonders of the world. The heritage value of the fort has been recognized by the UNESCO and the site has been inscribed as a cultural heritage UNESCO World Heritage Site under criteria iv, for its unique exposition of "an urban ensemble which illustrates the interaction of European architecture and South Asian traditions from the 16th to the 19th centuries."
  The Galle Fort, also known as the Dutch Fort or the "Ramparts of Galle", withstood the Boxing Day tsunami which damaged part of coastal area Galle town. It has been since restored.

• Day : 10 Colombo

  

  After breakfast, you will be on sightseeing & shopping tour of Colombo.
  Observing the old Parliament, the colonial buildings in the Fort area, the residential areas and the BMICH (Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall). The tour continues with a visit to Captains Garden Hindu Temple, Colombo Museum and the Independence Square [locations could be adjusted on Request].
  Shopping is never an end in Colombo. Shopping tour inclusive of a visit to the Majestic City shopping Complex, ODEL Unlimited Dress Boutique, House of Fashion, Ceramic cooperation show room (Noritake), Barefoot Gallery and Lakmedura handicraft Emporium & “The Factory Outlet” Store.
  Return to hotel by evening.
