Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

  • Day : 1 Airport / Colombo

    Welcome and assistance at the Airport on arrival and proceed to Colombo.

  • Day : 2 Colombo

    After Breakfast full day at leisure or City tour of Colombo.

    Observing the old Parliament,the colonial buildings in the Fort area, the residential areas and the BMICH (Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall). The tour continues with a visit to Captains Garden Hindu Temple, Colombo Museum and the Independence Square (Optional) or full day at leisure.

    By late evening visit the Dutch Hospital in the centerpiece of the vibrant Fort. This colonial-era complex dates back to the early 1600s. Lavishly restored, it is home to shops, cafes and restaurants run by some of Colombo’s best operators. Enjoy a pause for a cool beer amid the incredibly thick columns of its arcades.

  • Day : 3 Colombo / Singharaja

    After Breakfast transfer to the Sinharaja biosphere, a UNESCO world heritage site and Sri Lanka’s last remaining tropical rainforest.

  • Day : 4 Singharaja

    With your picnic breakfast, leave early morning until late afternoon walking safari looking for endemic birds, butterflies, reptiles, amphibians and flowers.
    Sinharaja Rain Forest is a narrow strip of undulating terrain consists of a series of ridges and valleys drained by an intricate network of streams.
    The two main nature trails of Sinharaja Rain Forest are those lead to the peak of Moulawella and the peak of Sinhagala. Both of these nature trails begins at Kudawa Conservation Centre (KCC) are equally enjoyable and enlightening. The forest is densly crowded with tall trees growing in close proximity, but winding trails make the trekking. Small streams of crystal-clear cool water, that is home to a variety of fish, toads and crabs, crisscross the trails. And the mixed species of birds are seen in the canopy of woods.
    Climate of Sinharaja Rain Forest :
    Meteorological records gathered from in and around Sinharaja over the last 60 years reveal the annual rainfall of Sinharaja Forest has ranged between 3614mm to 5006mm and temperatures from 19°C to 34°C. The high rainfall is owing to two monsoons: south-west monsoons during May-July and the north-east monsoons during November-January.
    Return to hotel by evening.

  • Day : 5 Singharaja / Udawalawe

    After Breakfast proceed to Udawalawe.
    Visit the Elephant Orphanage named as “Ath Athuru Sevana” in Udawalawe.
    By afternoon, safari at Udawalawe National Park.
    Udawalawe National Park is the best National Park in Sri Lanka if you want to see Elephants at close quarters. During the visit, it is not unusual to see whole herds of adults and young elephants – feeding or bathing and playing in the water! In addition to this main attraction, the park is home to many Water Buffalo, Water Monitor, Lizards, Sambar Deer, Monkeys and the occasional Leopard, as well as being an exciting location for Bird enthusiasts.

    Overnight stay at Udawalawe


  • Day : 6Udawalawe

    With your picnic breakfast, meet your safari guide at the gate entrance to the Udawalawe National Park. The starting time will be at 6 a.m.
    After entering the national park with your guide in a jeep, you will be able to spot Elephants, several species of birds and other animals that have made their homes in this sanctuary.
    You will be taken through most of the Udawalawe National Park, covering the wetlands, grasslands, forest patches, etc.
    We will stop at a designated spot overlooking a lake or river where you can get down, stretch your legs and enjoy your breakfast.
    You may also make longer stops at certain watering holes for unique photography opportunities. Finishing the safari around 11am, return back to your hotel.
    Evening at Leisure.

  • Day : 7 Udawalawe / Yala

    After breakfast, proceed to Yala for a 2 night luxury Yala Safari Campimg.
    Camping is all about living close to nature while experiencing its beauty and marvels as never before. With our campsites situated amidst thick greenery and true natural settings, we ensure you have the best encounters with nature, hidden away in the bush.
    You will be met by the crew at 12 noon at Yala Junction and be driven in to Yala Safari Camp for lunch at the camp.
    After Lunch, game drive to the Yala National Park.
    Yala National Park is the most visited and second largestnational park inSri Lanka. The park consists of five blocks, two of which are now open to the public and also adjoining parks. The blocks have individual names such as, Ruhuna National Park (block 1) and Kumana National Park or 'Yala East' for the adjoining area. It is situated in the southeast region of the country, and ies inSouthern Province and Uva Province . The park covers 979 square kilometres (378 sq mi) and is located about 300 kilometres (190 mi) from Colombo. Yala was designated as awildlife sanctuary in 1900, and, along with Wilpattu was one of the first two national parks in Sri Lanka, having been designated in 1938. The park is best known for its variety wild animals. It is important for the conservation ofSri Lankan elephants,Sri Lankan leopards and aquatic birds.

    Dinner & Overnight stay at the camp


  • Day : 8 Yala

    You would be given a wakeup call for your early morning Game Drive.
    Return back to Camp for Breakfast & later at leisure.
    After Lunch, evening Game Drive

    BBQ Dinner and overnight stay at the Camp


  • Day : 9 Yala / Mirissa

    You would be given a wakeup call for your early morning Game Drive (Optional) or sleep until sunrise.
    After Breakfast check out from the camp & proceed to Mirissa.

  • Day : 10 Mirissa

    Leave early in the morning to be at the ticketing office by 6.00am. The boat will leave Mirissa harbor around 6.30am.
    Blue Whales, the largest creatures on Earth – as well as fin whales, Sei whales, sperm whales, orcas (killer whales), dolphins, flying fish, turtles, manta rays and whale sharks can all be seen during your whale watching trip.
    Your tour would take 3-5 hours, but should it be hard to locate whales, then you would have to stay bit more, roughly 7 hours.
    Please note that the best period for Whale watching starts in end of July and operates until end of April/early May.
    Return to hotel by late afternoon & evening at leisure.

  • Day : 11 Mirissa

    Buffet breakfast at Hotel.
    Rest of the day at leisure by the beach.

  • Day : 12 Mirissa / Departure

    After breakfast, depending on your flight time check-out from hotel and transfer to airport for departure.
